Abstract:
The practice of municipal wastewater treatment and reuse in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is in urgent need of improvement in all aspects Major recommendations include the need to immediately expand wastewater collection treatment capacity and reuse ; establish process selection and design guidelines considering the Kingdom's local requirements ; establish rational and enforceable quality criteria for effluent disposal and reuse ; and start a system of plant inspection and reporting that holds plant operating entities liable for any violations تعتبر معالجة مياه الصرف الصحي وإعادة استخدامها في المملكة العربية السعودية في حاجة ماسة إلى التطوير وتحسين الكفاءة من جميع النواحي ونورد في هذا البحث عدة توصيات رئيسية مثل سرعة توسيع شبكات الصرف، والطاقة الاستيعابية لمحطات المعالجة، والتوسع في برنامج إعادة استخدام المياه المعالجة، ووضع أنظمة وإرشادات خاصة باختيار أنظمة المعالجة وتصميمها بحيث تتوائم مع ظروف المملكة، ووضع معايير نوعية منطقية ومطبقة للتخلص من المياه المعالجة ولإعادة استخدامها والبدء لوضع برنامج لمراقبة محطات المعالجة مبني على رفع تقارير دورية عن الوضع الفعلي لأداء المحطات بحيث تكون الجهات المشغلة للمحطات مسئولة عن جميع المخالفات
