Physics results from the cern protonantiproton collider

Abstract

نقدم نتائج من تشغيل (19811982) الصادم CERN للبروتونمضاد بروتون عند طاقة 540 بليون إلكترون فولت من تجارب UAS UA4 UA2 UAl المقطع العرضي الكلي يساوي 66 ± 7 ميللي بارن يبين الارتفاع المتوقع عند الطاقات المنخفضة قياسات التشتت المرن متوافقة مع لوغاريتم الانكماش للقمة الأمامية الكثاف المركزية للتسارع الزائف للإنتاج الشامل للجسيمات المشحونة يرتفع لوغاريتميا حتى يصل إلى قيمة 33 جسيما لكل وحدة تسارع وتوزيع التعدد يظهر مقياس KNO عندما يقارن بنتائج ISR تحت 63 بليون إلكترون فولت وأيضا تعطي نتائج على الفوتون الشامل والجسيمات الغريبة وإنتاج الفوتون ولقد وجد أن طيف Pt للجسيم الواحد مسطح لحد بعيد لقيم Pt حتى 10 بليون إلكترون فولت سرعة الضوء وذلك أكثر من القيمة لـ ISR وتبين أنه يعتمد على التعدد كما أننا نعطي دليلا على النفث ؛ كلا النفث ومقطع الجسيم الواحد يتفق مع تنبؤ QCD عند قيم عالية من Pt ونعطي تقرير نتائج سلبية في البحث عن سنترو (Quarks) وكواركس (Quarks) الحرة وأخيرا نقدم دليلا عن البوزون المتوسط الضعيف (weak intermediate boson( الذي حصل عليه من تجارب UAZ UAI

Results from the 1981 and 1982 operation of the CERN pp collider at 540 GEV obtained in experiments UAl UA2 UA4 and UA5 are presented The total cross section of 66 ± 7 MB shows the expected rise from lower energies Elastic scattering measurements are consistent with a In shrink age of the forward peak The central pseudorapidity density for inclusive charged particle production rises as Ins reaching a value of 33 particles per unit of rapidity and the multiplicity distribution exhibits KNO scaling when compared to ISR results below 63 GEV Results for inclusive photon strange particle and proton production are also given The single particle Ptspectrum for Pt up to 10 GEV C is considerably flatter than at the ISR and shows a dependence on multiplicity Evidence for jets is given Both jet and single particle cross sections at high Pt agree with QCD predictions Negative searches for centauro events and free quarks are reported Finally the evidence for the weak intermediate boson W obtained in the UAl and UA2 experiments is presented
