Abstract:
Numerical models for computing flows in shallow seas and the applications that have been made of such models to the Arabian Gulf are reviewed The physical characteristics of the tidal flow storm surges and the residual flow in the Gulf are summarized and the application of both twoand threedimensional numerical models to the computation of these flows is described تمت مراجعة النماذج العددية لحساب التدفق في مياه البحر الضحلة، وطرحت هذه النماذج لتطبيقها في الخليج العربي كما تم إيجاز كل من الخصائص الفيزيائية والتدفق الأمثل وحركة الرياح والتدفق المستوطن بالخليج العربي وكذلك تم وصف تطبيقات كل من نماذج البعدين والثلاثة أبعاد العددية لحساب هذه التدفقات
