Synthesis and spectroscopic studies of some Triazolopyrimidines and Pyrimidotriazines

Abstract

Further substitution of 2alkylthio34dihydro4oxo6phenylpyrimidines (1a b) yielded the N3substituted pyrimidine derivatives (2ag) Compounds (2e f) reacted with hydrazine to form the pyrimido[2 1c] triazines (6a b) Also treatment of the 2 hydrazinopyrimidine derivative (7) with chloroacetyl chloride produced the hydroxyprimidotriazine derivative (8) Desulphurisation of compound (1a) with benzhydrazide resulted in the formation of the 2(2benzoylhydrazio)pyrimidine derivative (12) which could be cyclised into the triazolo [43a] pyrimidine (13) The latter compound could also be synthesised by two other different alternative routes Compound (1a) reacted with semicarbazide to afford directly the dioxotriazolopyrimidine (16) Compound (16) could also be obtained by two other different methods The isomeric compound (17) of (16) could also be prepared from (7) and cyanogen bromide
