اتجاهات الزراع نحو البرنامج الزراعي التلفزيوني وأثر البرنامج على معارف الزراع ومهاراتهم بمحافظة الخرج بالمملكة العربية السعودية Farmers' attitudes toward the agricultural television program and the impact of the program on knowledge skills of farmers in Kharj governorate of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة اتجاهات الزراع نحو البرنامج الزراعي التلفزيوني وأثر البرنامج على معارف ومهارات الزراع في محافظة الخرج بالمملكة العربية السعودية، والتعرف على بعض مقترحات المبحوثين لتطوير البرنامج الزراعي التلفزيوني استخدم أسلوب الاستبيان بالمقابلة الشخصية كوسيلة لجمع البيانات، وتم اختيار عشوائية طبقية قدرها 230 مرزاعا، وقد بلغ عدد الاستبيانات التي تم استيفاؤها 181 استبانة، كما تم استخدام النسب المئوية والمتوسط الحسابي وتحليل الانحدار المرحلي المتعدد لتحليل بيانات البحث وتبين النتائج أن اتجاهات الزراع نحو البرنامج تتصف بالإيجابية بصفة عامة، إذ أن 702 % ذو اتجاهات مشجعة تماما أما أهم العوامل المؤثرة على اتجاهات الزراع نحو البرنامج الزراعي التلفزيوني فقد تبين من تحليل الانحدار المتعدد أن كلا من تعدد مصادر المعلومات، الدخل السنوي المستوى التعليمي، حجم الأسرة، وإجمالي النشاط الزراعي قد أسهمت بشكل كبير في تفسير التباين في اتجاهات الزراع نحو البرنامج وتبين أن للبرنامج الزراعي التلفزيوني تأثيرا في زيادة معارف الزراع المتعلقة بجميع العمليات الزراعية ولكن بدرجات متفاوتة، وأن له تأثير كبيرا على المعارف التالية معرفة موعد الزراعة المناسب حسب نوع المحصول، معرفة الموعد المناسب للحرث، أما فيما يتعلق بمعرفة أفضل أساليب رعاية الحيوان، ومعرفة دور الهيئات الزراعية بالمنطقة والتعرف على أفضل أساليب النحالة فإن تأثير البرنامج عليها كان ضعيفا كما تبين أن للبرنامج تأثيرا كبيرا في زيادة مهارة المتعلقة بكيفية ترشيد استهلاك مياه الري، كما كان تأثير البرنامج ضعيفا على المهارات التالية كيفية تنفيذ إدارة المشروعات الزراعية وتخطيطها وضبط حسابات المزرعة (السجلات الزراعية) كما تبين أن أهم مقترحات الزراع لتطوير البرنامج الزراعي تتمثل في عمل لقاءات مع الزراع في مزارعهم، وأخذ آرائهم لحل المشكلات الزراعية (851 %)، شمول البرنامج الزراعي التلفزيوني وتغطيته لجميع نواحي الإنتاج الزراعي (729 %) والتخاطب مع الزراع بلغة سهلة وواضحة وبسيطة (635 %)

This research aims at studying farmers' attitudes toward the agricultural television program and the impact of the program on the skills knowledge of the farmers in Kharj Govemorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and identify some farmer's suggestions to improve this program To achieve these objectives the data were collected through personal interviews using a questionnaire especially designed for this purpose A stratified random sample of 230 farmers was randomly chosen Only 181 farmers responded fully In analyzing the data some statistical tools were used such as percentages means stepwise multiple regression analysis Findings of the study show the positive attitudes towards the televised program in general Specifically 702 % of the farmers have very encouraging attitudes The most important factors affecting farmer's attitudes towards this program are various information sources annual income level of education family size and agriculture activities The results of this study also show the increase of farmer's knowledge in all the farming processes due to the effect of watching the program However the increase of farmer's knowledge has different degrees of strength A strong impact is shown on the following areas of knowledge the suitable planting time for each crop and the suitable time for plowing A weak impact is shown on other areas of knowledge such as the best methods of husbandry or animal raising the role of agricultural organizations and the best methods of bee raising Also indicated from the results is the great impact of this televised program on the increase of farmer's skills related to rationalizing the use of irrigation water However the impact of this program is weak on the following skills how to plan execute and manage the agricultural projects; and farm bookkeeping and accountancy Farmer's suggestions to develop the program include holding interviews with farmers in their fields during videotaping the program and considering their opinions to solve their agricultural problems (85 I %) and making the program comprehensive and covering all sectors and activities of agricultural production (729 %) Among other suggestions are communicating with farmers in a simple clear and straightforward language (635 %)
