Abstract:
The present ecological and phytosociological study is carried out to investigate the vegetation condition on the east facing slopes of AlBahah region Hills and wadies between AlBahah city and AlAqieq town that stretch along the east facing slopes were investigated About 150 plant species were recorded Some of these plant species are endangered while others represent some distant provinces the Eritreo Arabian; the Mediterranean and the Irano Turanian regions are also represented The impact in the east facing slopes on the type and density of the vegetation cover was apparent among which the negative effects of man were and are still the major threat أجريت الدراسة البيئية الاجتماعية الحالية لتقصي حالة الغطاء النباتي النامي على السفوح الشرقية لمنطقة الباحة، وكانت الدراسة على مسافة تساوي ستين كيلو متراً تقريباً تمتد ما بين مدينة الباحة ومطار العقيق وتمر عبد هذا الطريق في انطلاقها بقمم الجبال، فالسفوح الشرقية، ثم التلال منخفضة الارتفاع والأودية وقد سجل حوالي 150 نوعا نباتيا بعضها مهددة بالانقراض كما يمثل العديد منها مناطق جغرافية نباتية مختلفة ومن هذه الإقليم الإرتري، إقليم حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط والإقليم الإيراني الطوراني هذا وقد كان التأثير البيئي السلبي على السفوح الشرقية والعامل الإنساني بيناً على طبيعة وكثافة الأنواع النباتية النامية بمنطقة الدراسة
