A comparative study of the effects of postinjection time on target biting for four drugs given to laboratory mice دراسة مقارنة لتأثير وقت مابعد إعطاء العقار على عض الهدف لأربعة عقاقير تم إعطاؤها للفئران المعملية

Abstract

تمت دراسة تأثير أربعة عقاقير على عض الهدف بعد فترات زمنية مختلفة من إعطاء العقار في الفئران السويسري، وذلك باستخدام طريقة وضع الحيوانات في الأنبوب الضيق المحفز للعداء ولقد درس تأثر جرعات من الكحول الأيثيلي بتركيز (10 جم كجم)، كبريتات المورفين (50 مجم كجم)، مورفين 3 جلوكورونيد (50 مجم كجم) وكبريتات د امفيتامين (100 مجم كجم) أعطيت لمرة واحدة لذكور وإناث فئران سويسرية تم تربيتها في مجموعات وتمت القياسات بعد 5، 10، 20، 40 دقيقة من إعطاء العقار وكانت القياسات التي تم رصدها هي فترة الكمون التي يقضيها الحيوان حتى أول عضة للهدف والتغيرات في معدل العضات حيث أظهر الكحول الأيثلي تناقصا في عدد عضات ذكور الفئران ، بينما أظهر كل من كبريتات د امفيتامين انخفاضا كبيرا في عدد العضات لكل من الذكور والإناث أما المورفين 3 جلوكورونيد فلم يظهر له تأثير واضح وبالتالي يتضح أن هذا الاختبار لا يقيس السلوك العدائي بل ربما يكون مفيدا لقياس تأثير العقاقير المسكنة

In this study the effects of postinjection time on tar get biting for four drugs given to Swiss mice were carried out using restraint test The effects of administrated ethanol (l n gkg) morphine sulphate (50 rng kg) morphine3 glucuronide (5 11 rng kg) and darnphctarninc sulphate (100 mg kg) on animal behaviour were studied at 5 1020 and 40 minutes postinjection The measurement included latency to the first bite and the biting frequency Ethanol produced transient reduction in biting frequency in male mice whereas both morphine sulphate and darnphctarnine sulphate produced longer suppressions of such behaviour in both males and females Morphine3glucuronide on the other hand has no clear action Although this model of test clearly docs not measure 'aggression' the test may be useful for detecting sedative actions of drugs
