Abstract

The investigation attempts to define the relationship between college admission requirements and the academic achievement of students The academic records of 600 students were taken at random from twelve colleges and analyzed statistically The investigation revealed an almost complete lack of correlation at 5 % level of significance between admission requirements and academic achievement Recommendations are made to alter present admission requirements and procedures changes to the educational environment at the last phases of general education and unification of the educational authorities

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد الصلة بين متطلبات القبول في الكليات الجامعية والتحصيل العلمي للطلاب أثناء دراستهم الجامعية وقد أجريت الدراسة على ستمائة طالب من اثني عشرة كلية اختيرت سجلاتهم التعليمية عشوائيا وحللت بالوسائل الإحصائية يتبين من الدراسة أن الصلة بين متطلبات القبول والتحصيل العلمي تكاد تكون منعدمة بالمعايير الإحصائية ولتصحيح هذا الخلل اقترح في هذه الدراسة بعض التعديلات على وسائل التعليم العام في مراحله النهائية وعلى سياسة القبول في الجامعات والتنظيم العام للجهاز المسؤول عن التعليم
