Abstract:
Some knowledge about the panaeid shrimp fishery of the Arabian Gulf its development catch statistics and some biological aspect of P semisulcatus was discussed by price (1975 1976 1979) but no specific attention has yet been paid to the systematic of penaeid shrimp netted in this area Thus it was felt necessary to describe some of the key characteristics of the species and to give more precise systematic information with special reference to the genitial organs Six species belonging to the two genera penaeus and metapenaeus are described here Two of which P indicus and P monodon are recorded for the first time from this area تناولت الدراسة وصفا كاملا لستة أنواع من الجمبري تابعة لجنسين مختلفين هما جنس البينس والميتابينس من عائلة البينويدلأول مرة يتم تسجيل اثنين من هذه الأنواع في هذه المنطقة هما بينس أنديكس، وبينس مونودون كذلك إعطاء مفتاح متكامل للعائلة والأجناس والأنواع المدروسة
