Abstract:
High background gamma radiations have been observed in different laboratories and rooms of the college of science at malaz They have been measured at some selected laboratories using a highresolution gamma spectrometer Gamma ray lines of different background spectra as well as the corresponding radioactive isolated leading to these lines have been identified Different radioactive isotopes such as 40 k 226 k and 228 Ac with their daughters have been detected in this area لوحظ وجود خلفية إشعاعية عالية في المعامل المختلفة بكلية العلوم بالملز ولقد تم قياس هذه الخلفية في بعض المعامل المختارة باستخدام مطياف جاما ذي قدرة تحليلية عالية أمكن التعرف على خطوط أشعة جاما للأطياف المختلفة وعلى النظائر المشعة المؤدية إلى هذه الخطوط وقد اكتشف وجود نظائر مشعة مختلفة مثل الراديوم226 والبوتاسيوم40 والأكتينيوم228 مع نوياتها الوليدة في هذه المنطقة
