Abstract

أمكن بنجاح تحقيق خفض للسكر في الدم تجريبيا باستخدام حقن عضلية لمستخلصات كحولية من وصفة شعبية محلية مكونة من خمسة أعشاب ومواد راتنجية هي المر، اللبان الشحري، الحلتيت، الصبار والحبة السوداء استخدمت للتجارب فئران المعمل بعد إحداث الداء السكري بها وسجل انخفاض ذو دلالة إحصائية مهمة في جلوكوز الدم (بدون ارتفاع في الأنسولين) بعد الحقن العضلي لمستخلص الخليط مجتمعا أو الصبار منفردا أما عند استخدام اللبان الشحري منفردا في الحقن فقد وجد أن تأثيره أقل فاعلية، بينما يبقى كل من المر والحبة السوداء والحلتيت بدون تأثير منفرد ولقد اتضح أن حقن الخليط تعيد قراءات وقت الثرومبين الأولى وعد الصفائح الدموية إلى نفس مقاديرها الطبيعية السابقة لإحداث الداء السكري، لذا ينصح مرضى السكر الذين يتعاطون علاجا مضادا لتجلط الدم، ويرغبون في استعمال هذه الوصفة، أن يحصوا على معايرة جرعة مضاد التجلط بشكل دوري متكرر لتصحيحها حسب ما تقتضيه الحاجة نوقشت النتائج على ضوء الدراسات والتقارير السابقة

A successful trial of antidiabetic herbal medicine is reported Extracts of five herbs and resins known in traditional Arabian herbal medicine to be antidiabetic agents Commiphora myrrha Boswellia serrata Ferula assa foetida Aloe soccotrina and Nigella sativa as well as their mixture were administered by intramuscular injections to alloxanized rats Significant reduction of blood glucose without change in insulin level was recorded in diabetic rats following two injections of the mixture and aloe extracts Boswellia was found to be less effective while Commiphora Ferula and Nigella had no effect Mixture extract injections have also restored prediabetic values of prothrombin time and thrombocyte count Diabetic patients on anticoagulant therapy are therefore advised when using this recipe to monitor their PTT and to adjust the anticoagulant dose accordingly Results are discussed in the light of other reports
