The spares provisioning problem with parts inventory analysis of two extreme inventory policies

Abstract

تستخدم مجموعة من الآلات المتماثلة لتغطي احتياجات معروفة ومستمرة والآلى عند تشغيلها يمكن أن تتعطل بسسب فشل في قطعة مهمة داخلها، لذلك يجب أن يكون هناك قطعة بديلة متيسرة قبل أن يبدأ إصلاح الآلة أما إذا كانت القطعة البديلة نافدة من المخزون فيجب أن تطلب أما إذا كان عدد الآلات العاملة يزيد عن الحاجة، فيمكن وضع الآلة التي تم إصلاحها كاحتياط وأن لا تشغل لسد الاحتياجات لقد تم افتراض علاقة أسية بين كل من زمن عطل الآلة والزمن الذي ينقضي بين طلب قطعة بديلة واستلامها ووقت إصلاح الآلة هذه الورقة تقدم منوالا يمكن استخدامه لتحديد العدد المطلوب من الآلات ومرائب الصيانة لتخفيض الحد الأدنى من الكلفة وتقيدا لمرتبة معينة من الخدمة، متناولا أقصى منهاجين للمخزون المتعلق بالقطع البديلة هذا المنوال، الذي يتيح حلولا مضبوطة لمنهج واحد من المخزون وحلولا تقريبية جديدة للمنهج الآخر، يتطلب من الحاسوب مخزن ذاكرة ووقت إنجاز زهيدين حتى لمسائل كبيرة الحجم

A set of identical machines are deployed to meet a known and constant demand While operating a machine could fail due to a failure of a critical builtin part and a replacement part must be available before repair of the machine is initiated If the replacement part is out of stock it must be ordered After a failed machine is repaired it acts as a standby if the number of operational machines exceeds the demand otherwise the machine is immediately deployed to meet demand The machine timetofailure ordering lead times and repair times are all assumed to be exponentially distributed An algorithm is developed to determine the number of machines and repair channels needed to minimize cost subject to a servicelevel constraint under two extreme inventory policies of the replacement parts The algorithm which provides exact solutions for one extreme policy and a good approximation to the other requires negligible computer storage and execution time for largesized problems
