الملخص:
Enrichment of copper using a liquid membrane containing a chelating agent of the LIX series has been studied in a modified Lewis cell Copper is extracted by a chelate dissolved in the organic phase from a copperrich aqueous solution and is removed from the membrane phase by providing an excess of hydrogen ions in the stripping phase Equilibrium distribution of copper between aqueous and organic phases is experimentally measured A simplified mathematical model for the mediated transport of copper across the liquid membrane is presented Results indicate that extraction and stripping of copper is significantly influenced by mass transfer resistance of aqueous and organic phases and the complexing reaction between chelate and copper تمت دراسة إشباع النحاس باستخدام غشاء من سائل يحتوي على معامل وصل من سلسلة (LIX) وذلك في خلية (لويس) محسنة وقد استخلص النحاس بواسطة معامل وصل مذاب في الطور العضوي من محلول سائل غني بالنحاس وفصل النحاس في طور الغشاء بزيادة أيونات الهيدروجين في مرحلة الفصل وتم قياس توزيع تركيز النحاس في مرحلة التوازن بين الطور السائل والعضوي مخبريا وتم عرض نموذج رياضي مبسط لانتشار النحاس خلال الغشاء السائل وتشير النتائج إلى أن استخلاص وفصل النحاس يتأثر كثيرا بمقاومة انتشار المادة في الطورين السائل والعضوي والتفاعل بين النحاس ومعامل الوصل
