يركز هذا البحث على الحاجة إلى إعادة تصميم الخلطة الخرسانية لتناسب ظروف منطقة الخليج العربي حيث تعتبر المتانةوليست القوةنقطة الضعف في المبنى الخرساني ويبين البحث أنه بالاختيار المناسب لمواد الخرسانة وتوافق نسب الخلط السليم يمكن تصميم خلطة خرسانية ذات متانة عالية تناسب ظروف منطقة الخليج العربي كذلك فإن هذا البحث يوضح المواصفات المتعلقة بأقل كمية للإسمنت وأكبر نسبة ماء للإسمنت في الخلطة الخرسانية This paper emphasizes the need to reorient the concrete mix design concept to suit the Gulf conditions where durability and not strength is the matter of greater concern With suitable material selection and proper proportioning durable concrete mixes can be designed for the Gulf environment The paper emphasizes that specifications be related to both minimum cement content and maximum w c ratio
