يتناول هذا البحث الطرق التقليدية للتحكم بالظروف المناخية في أنماط العمارة التقليدية بالمنطقة الشرقية وقد تم شرح الطرق المستخدمة في هذا المجال استنادا إلى أربعة نماذج من البيوت مسجلة في كل من الدمام والخبر والقطيف والهفوف وقد استخدمت أيضا بعض الرسومات التفصيلية في الشرح ويهدف البحث إلى تسليط الضوء على أنظمة التبريد والتهوية الطبيعية التي كانت تشكل في الماضي عنصرا من عناصر العمارة التقليدية في المملكة كذلك يهدف البحث إلى تطوير أفكار مماثلة واستخدامها في المشاريع الجديدة This paper deals with the traditional methods of controlling the climate in the
indigenous architecture of the Eastern Province The methods used are explained
using examples of four houses recorded in the cities of AIKhobar Qatif and Hofuf
Some detailed drawings are also used in the explanation
The paper's aim is to draw attention to the natural cooling and ventilation
systems which once formed part of the traditional architecture of Arabia and to
promote similar approaches in new projects
