The monogenean parasite Chauhanellus indicus Rastogi Kumar and Singh 2004 is described here for the first time from the gills of the sea catfish Tachysurus dussumieri (Valenciennes) from the Red Sea coast of Yemen The ecological indexes of infection during the period from March 2009 and June 2010 were calculated as prevalence of 40 % and intensity of 112 (317) The relation of the infection with both fish length and sex and preference of site of infection were discussed تم وصف الطفيل Chauhanellus indicus Rastogi Kumar and Singh 2004 لأول مرة من خياشيم سمكة الجري البحري Tachysurus dussumieri (Valenciennes) من البحر الأحمرساحل اليمن وتم حساب المعايير البيئية للإصابة أثناء المدة من شهر مارس 2009 م ولغاية يونيو 2010 م حيث كانت نسبة الإصابة 40 % وشدة افصابة 112 (317) تمت مناقشة علاقة افصابة بكل من طول الأسماك وجنسها، وتفصيل موقع الإصابة
