Résumé:
The literatures of Methyl TertiaryButyl Ether (MTBE) in continent was very few
The Environmental Agency in the United kingdom only published a few studies The first
study of MTBE in ground water was issued in 1996 while the first report that summarize
the contamination of the environment with the compounds of ether oxygenates was issued
in 1999 Whereas a general review was issued of the present of MTBE in ground water in
England and Wales (Environmental Agency 2000) While the universities research
centers water and private oil companies and the United States Environmental Protection
Agency (USEPA) cared about releasing many specialized studies around this subject
especially in the state of California in the United States Due to of the importance of this
study and its effect on the environment I was interested to write a general review of MTBE
and the risk that occur in the environment in Arabic language The purpose of this review to
readable by a general public people In addition the researchers who are interested in this
subject and all who are specialized in the environmental pollution تعتبر الدراسات التي كتبت عن مركب (MTBE) Methyl TertiaryButyl Ether في أوروبا قليلة جدا إلا أن مكتب البيئة (Environmental Agency) بالمملكة المتحدة أصدر القليل من تلك الدراسات، وكانت أول دراسة نشرت عام 1996 م والتي أوضحت مدى تهديد مركب "MTBE" لمصادر المياه الجوفية، وفي عام 1999 م أصدر المكتب تقريرا يلخص قضية تلوث البيئة بمركبات الإيثيرات الممزوجة بالأكسجين (Ether oxygenates) ومؤخرا أصدر نظرة عامة للاستعمال الحالي لمركب "MTBE" وتواجده في المياه الجوفية في إنجلترا وويلز (Environmental Agency 2000) بينما اهتمت الجامعات والمراكز البحثية المختلفة وشركات المياه والزيت الخاصة ووكالة الولاية المتحدة لحماية البيئة United State Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) والمكاتب التابعة لها بإصدار العديد من الدراسات المتخصصة حول هذا الموضوع لاسيما في ولاية كاليفورنيا بأمريكا، ونظرا لأهمية هذا الموضوع وما يشكله من خطر على البيئة هممت لإعداد نظرة عامة عن مركب "MTBE" والخطر الذي يشكله على البيئة وأحببت أن تكون المقالة باللغة العربية لتكون في متناول الجميع من المتخصصين في هذا المجال والمهتمين بالتلوث البيئي من عامة الناس والمثقفين
