The antimicrobial activity of 15 antibiotics against 73 Vibrio cholerae 01 strains ogawa type El Tor biotype was determined using the disc diffusion method Most of the isolates (918 %) were resistant to trimethoprim sulphamethoxazole 822 % to streptomycin 616 % to furazolidone 575 % to tetracycline 548 % to rifampicin 397 % to erythromycin and 274 % to ampicillin Less than or equal to 3 % were resistant to gentamicin chloramphenicol and neomycin All were sensitive to ciprofloxacin ofloxacin nalidixic acid norfloxacin and tobramycin لقد جرى تحديد قابلية 73 ضمة هيضية لخمسة عشر مضادا حيويا باستخدام طريقة انتشار القرص وقد بدأت معظم العزلات مقاومة للمضادات 918 % للفيورازولدون، 575 % للتتراسيكلين، 548 % للريفمبيسين، 397 % للإرثروميسين 274 % للأمبسلين وأقل من 3 % لكل من جنتميسين، نيوميسين، كلورمفنكول وكانت معظم الذريات حساسة للسبروفلكساسين، أفلكساسين، نورفلكساسين، نالدكسك أسيد والتبرميسين
