Strength characteristics in twosize bituminous mixes خواص مقاومة الخلطات الإسفلتية ذات الحجمين

Abstract

الهدف من هذا البحث هو تحليل وظيفة المادة الرابطة في مخلوط الخرسانة الإسفلتية ذات الحجمين وفي هذا الصدد سبقت الفكرة والتنبؤ النظري التجارب العملية وقد أجريت التجارب العملية على ثلاثة أنواع من الصخور ذوات الأشكال الهندسية المختلفة، كما شملت التجارب أربعة أحجام مختلفة من كل نوع من أنواع الصخور سالفة الذكر وبناء على نتائج التجارب يستنتج أنه يمكن الحصول على نفس كفاءة المقاومة لمخلوطات أسفلتية ذات حجمين مصنوعة من أنواع وأشكال مختلفة من الصخور إذا كان الحجم الكلي المركب متساويا وبقية العوامل ذات العلاقة ثابتة كذلك تمت دراسة تأثير النسبة الحجمية ومعدل الاستطالة والنسبة المئوية للحجم الأصغر من المخلوط على مقاومة الخرسانة الإسفلتية، كما تمت محاولة التوفيق بين النظرية والنتائج العملية الخاصة بكفاءة مقاومة الإسفلت الذاتية ويعتقد أن النتائج سوف تساعد على فهم ميكانيكية تفاعل حجارة الخلط مع المادة الرابطة في الخرسانة الإسفلتية

The purpose of this research was to analyse the fuction of the binder in twosize bituminous concrete mixes Theoretical concepts and presictions preceded the experimental work The experimental program involved three types of rocks having different geometrical properties Four size fractions of each of the three types of aggregates were tested Based on the results of the conducted experiment it is concluded that different types and shapes of aggregates can be mixed in twosize bituminous mixes to have equal strength values if their total packing volumes are equal and the other related factors are constant The effect of the size ratio rate of deformation and the percentage of the finer fraction in the mix were also studied An attempt was made to coordinate the theory with practice concerning the strength characteristics of bituminous mixes The findings should help explain the mechanism and interaction of the aggregatebinder mixes
