A method been developed for the application of the lagrangian similarity hypothesis as the basis of diffusion modeling in turbulent shear flow especially when artificial roughness is pereent Data collected by previous investigators for diffusion studies have been analyzed Some of the investigators used point sources and some used line sources The variables were the source heights and the roughness conditions Wind tunnel was used for all the studies The experiment covered the conditions of smooth floor and floors of artificial rough nesses Ammonia gas was diffused in all the cases Definite agreement between the hypothesis and the experimental data has been shown by proper selection of roughness length Zo استفاد الباحث من الفروض التي وضعها لاجرانج في دراسة ظاهرة الانتشار في حالة مرور التيارات المضطربة على الأسطح الخشنة وقد أجريت تجارب باستعمال نفق هوائي وإدخال غاز الأمونيا من فتحات خاصة لدراسة هذه الظاهرة ولقد ظهرت من التجارب أن علاقات التشابه يمكن تطبيقها في مرور التيارات المضطربة
